Position Description
This position is responsible for the loading and unloading of Mutual Materials products for customers in a courteous, safe, and efficient manner. Promoting positive customer relations and providing an exceptional level of customer service is essential. You will be responsible for maintaining inventory and shipping and receiving documentation, keeping the yard orderly, as well as performing physical labor as necessary to prepare and break down pallets and occasionally hand load product. This position works outdoors year-round, subject to all weather elements, predominately using a forklift to move palletized product.
On the job training will be provided to all New Hires by experienced Mutual Materials employees. This is a full-time job, Monday-Friday.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Similar/related work experience in the building materials industry is preferred.
- The qualified candidate will have great customer service skills and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work both independently and as a member of a fast-paced distribution team.
- Physical capacity to lift 70 pounds on an occasional basis; able to be on your feet for most of the day; bending, twisting, and lifting are essential for this position.
- OSHA certified forklift certification/ experience is preferred.
- Previous experience with masonry products, stone and/or construction practices a plus.
- Must be able to work 40 hours per week
