Role Summary:
As a Sr. Product Owner, you will serve as the senior liaison between the business and technical teams in translating complex business needs into technological solutions. The Sr. Product Owner is responsible for managing product team(s) backlog and works closely with business stakeholders to analyze business technology requirements and technology solutions against value and risk. You will be responsible for conducting cost-benefit and risk assessment analysis for proposed solutions to determine suitability and risk mitigation. This opportunity requires working a hybrid onsite/remote work schedule, onsite 3 days in our Boca Raton, Florida, office, and 2 days remotely each week.

Responsibilities:
- Participate as Sr. Product Owner on key cross-functional product teams, managing successful implementation of technology solutions and application development.
- Analyze business technology requirements and specifications against value and risk of potential solutions.
- Troubleshoot and identify system related production problems and coordinate the evaluation and implementation of system enhancements.
- Act as a core team member within an Agile Scrum team in a product delivery model to identify potential new product solutions.
- Work with the business product manager to incorporate customer and stakeholder feedback, identify requirements, appropriately adjusting priority of deliverables and prioritize product team backlog.
- Maintain the integrity and guide the evolution of features and develop user stories based on the Epics established by the Product Manager and provide guidance to clearly define and articulate business value for each team sprint and release.
- Recommend proposed solutions and/or enhancements to improve and optimize processes, workflows, performance, and systems.
- Manage risk associated with new solutions and/or proposed enhancements.
- Ensure alignment with technology standards and industry best practices.
- Make or help with buy-versus-build decisions.
- Conduct cost-benefit and risk assessment analyses for proposed solutions to determine suitability.
- Escalate business decisions as required.
- Review technical documentation of the design documents, coding documents and user manuals.
- Resolve ambiguous business priority conflicts.
- Bachelor’s degree is required; Finance and/or Information Systems degree preferred.
- 7 years’ Product Owner experience required; Financial Services and/or Web experience preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills for frequent interaction with end users and preparation of user stories and other written documents.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
- Team-player with the ability to work within a collaborative environment to reach consensus among business users.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to develop and maintain sound working relationships.
- Both a strong data and business acumen required.
- Self-motivated and capable of managing multiple priorities and tasks as delegated.
- Creative and efficient in proposing solutions to complex, time-critical problems.
- Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects and deadlines.
- Proficient understanding of designing and delivering project portfolio level reporting.
- Comfortable in working with large, multi-dimensional projects and experience in working within cross-divisional product teams.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office product suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Proficient in Agile and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
- Proficient in data management and system analysis.
- Proficient with Atlassian’s Jira project management and Confluence collaboration software.
- Certified Agile Professional and/or Product Owner certification is preferred.
