Our Springdale Arkansas facility is in search of a Facilities Custodian.
Job Overview
Perform general janitorial duties along with planned projects of facility grounds and equipment. Ensuring that the facility is always maintained in a clean and presentable state for all employees and its visitors.
Responsibilities
- Service, clean and supply restrooms, office area, breakroom, conference rooms and quality labs.
- Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
- Emptying trash receptacles inside and outside of building.
- Follow procedures for use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
- Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors.
- Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
- Request supplies or equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties as needed.
- Dust furniture, walls, machine, or equipment.
- Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
- Move heavy furniture, equipment or supplies either manually or with a hand truck.
- Remove snow from sidewalks using snow shovels, snow bowers or by spreading snow melting chemicals.
- Monitor building safety by performing tasks such as locking doors after hours or checking electrical appliances to ensure that hazards are not created.
- Serve on a project or permanent team as required to address special issues or problems.
- Performing general physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving of whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.
- Communicating with supervisors and peers providing information in written format as needed.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- 6 Months Janitorial Experience a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
