MVP Holdings is a privately owned energy logistics company headquartered in Wichita, KS. MVP and its subsidiaries provide gathering, transportation, processing, storage, distribution, marketing and other midstream services to independent oil and natural gas producers, refiners of petroleum and products and other market participants located throughout the United states. We are currently looking for a full time Pipeline Engineer to join our team. This position supports the company's crude oil pipeline, gathering and terminal assets, as well as natural gas transportation assets throughout the company. The Pipeline Engineer provides operational and technical support and expertise to estimate, design, optimize, and expand the various assets. Our ideal candidate will have the ability to multi-task while maintaining high attention to detail, communicates effectively across teams, and have strong critical thinking skills. This position is located in NW Oklahoma City, OK and there are hybrid perks via the supervisor's discretion, that would give the ability to work remotely up to two days a week. In addition to that, we have core hours that adds autonomy to the role daily. Essential Functions
- Support internal and external customers with scoping, design, construction, and operation of crude oil pipelines and terminals and natural gas pipelines and stations. Both new construction and modification to existing assets.
- Technical resource for assigned projects, including piping and equipment design / sizing / specification, internal engineering services, third party engineers, surveyors, consultants, inspectors, bidding and management of construction, commissioning, and turnover.
- Create and maintain hydraulic models for assigned assets.
- Support operations to find, justify and implement efficiency across the assets.
- Technical support to operations on maintenance projects and technical support for changes to equipment (pumps, meters, etc) and piping / storage. Support hydrotests, crossings and relocations.
- Create, coordinate and manage work plans, startup plans, oil fill and empty plans, plans for significant change in operation and incorporation of new business.
- Responsible to ensure job books, records, drawings, and documents are created and updated for assigned assets.
- Scope and estimate new construction and maintenance projects.
