Position Overview:
We are looking for a full-time Team Lead Assistant to support the accounting functions across our client base within the My Valuable Business, LLC (MVB) family. This role provides critical operational support to our Team Lead/Controller, helping to streamline financial processes, manage data, and maintain exceptional service for our clients. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, with a strong ability to handle tasks efficiently in a remote work environment. With a minimum of 3 years of accounting experience and 3 years of experience working in QBO. This position is ideal for someone who can manage recurring weekly and monthly tasks accurately, efficiently and on time with minimal supervision.
We are open to FTE or PTE for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform data entry in QBO for multiple clients, ensuring accuracy and consistency
- Provide basic payroll support, including data preparation and communication with the accounting team.
- Help maintain and update client financial databases and records.
- Prepare routine reports, summaries, and updates as directed by the Team Lead.
- Communicate with clients to collect documents, resolve basic queries, and relay information.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting/bookkeeping experience in the private sector.
- Proficient in QBO, including knowing how to properly utilize all QBO workflow steps (posting AP and AR related transactions, accepting transactions into bank and credit card accounts, setting up bank rules, performing reconciliations, posting journal entries, etc).
- Ability to handle highly confidential information with discretion.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Able to work effectively in a fully remote environment.
- Must pass a criminal background check.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is a plus.
