What are the responsibilities and job description for the PAYER ENROLLMENT SPECIALIST position at MVHE?
Summary of Position
To manage the credentialing process for physician provider by completing third party applications and contracts. Develops and maintains physician profiles and data base.
Nature and Scope
Preparation and submission of all third-party provider applications and contracts for 110 physicians. The position will function as a resource and intermediary on questions of contract interpretation between offices, patients, and third-party insurance companies.
Qualifications
- Minimum of Associates degree and/or experience preferably in Business or Computers with experience in health care billing, reimbursement, and/or contracting
- A minimum of one year experience in credentialing, or 3 years experience with medical billing is preferred.
- Recent experience with CAQH and One AppPro will be an advantage.
- Must have strong oral and written communication and organization skills.
- Must demonstrate knowledge of third party credentialing process.
- Qualified candidates will have knowledge of, and some experience with third party credentialing process.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills will be essential, along with a strong proficiency with various software applications including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
