POSITION TITLE : Water Truck Driver
DEPARTMENT : Waste Services
REPORTS TO : Director of Waste Services
DESCRIPTION : The successful applicant will be responsible for collecting petroleum contact water from 55-gallon drums and other containments at convenience stores and gas stations and transporting it to approved waste facilities for processing while following all regulations and client requirements. Represent and promote MVI Field Services in a courteous and cordial manner, building client confidence and maximum efficiency for the business. Must have a clean driving record and the ability to travel on a regular basis.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Ability to understand and follow instructions in English
- Be in possession of a valid U.S. driver's license
- Clean driving record
- Ability to drive and maintain company service truck
- Travel up to 3 weeks per month (company absorbs travel expenses)
- Must complete a pre-employment drug test, physical (including DOT), and comprehensive background check.
- Complete Class A / B Operator training and certification
- Develop a working knowledge of client Underground Storage Tank Systems (USTS) components
- Remain current on State and Federal EPA USTS requirements
- Perform annual testing on USTS and fuel facilities for compliance
- Replace components and parts such as decals, gaskets, riser caps and manway covers, etc.
- Maintain company vehicles and equipment in good operating condition, including having vehicle serviced for preventative maintenance
- Keep abreast of changes to equipment manufactures specifications and State UST Regulations
- Responsible for following company expense policy and submitting all itemized receipts for expenses by the 3rd of each month
- Submit all reports timely and accurately, including monthly schedules and expenses in the appropriate software systems
