What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Laborer position at MVI Field Services?
Facility Laborer Description:
The facility laborers are tasked with cleaning and maintaining facilities, grounds, company vehicles, mechanical equipment, and machine parts. They are provided cleaning supplies and work tools including, but not limited to, cleaning brushes, scrapers, glass polishing cloths, vacuums, mops, buckets, pressure washers, and specialized hand and company-provided tools for general work around our managed properties. They are responsible for inspecting for damages to the facility, grounds, and equipment managed by MVI. This position is not just a physically demanding role within our team, but all candidates must possess beginner-level repair and mechanical skills.
No previous experience needed, all candidates will be properly trained.
Essential Skills:
- Ability to repair, replace, and maintain the structure/equipment or work on large-scale MVI projects
- Comply with trained sanitation methods, disinfecting methods, safe chemical use, and use of cleaning tools
- Be proactive and able to communicate verbally and non-verbally. Active listening, attention, and focusing on the details are a must.
- Ability to complete basic data entry, attend to phone calls in a professional manner, and be adaptable to MVI custom mobile apps
- Ability to work independently and with a team, and they are expected to work efficiently
Hours:
- Full-time with benefits
- Shift-Monday through Friday 11am-7pm, some weekend rotations
