MVP Disc Sports, a leading innovator in disc golf technology, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-orientated Inventory Control Specialist to join our growing team in Marlette, MI.
As an Inventory Control Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of our cutting-edge disc golf products to retailer worldwide. We offer a competitive wage based on experience and skills. The Inventory Control Specialist will work with our First Shift Team, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., each week day Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing Inventory Control: This includes monitoring stock levels, tracking inventory movements (incoming and outgoing), and identifying discrepancies.
- Managing Deliveries: Receiving and processing incoming shipments, verifying quantities and quality against purchase orders, and coordinating transportation.
- Inspecting Inventory: Regularly checking inventory for damage, obsolescence, or other issues that may affect its value or usability.
- Maintaining Inventory Records: Accurately recording inventory data in the system, including stock counts, locations, and any changes in inventory status.
- Ordering Products: Analyzing inventory levels, forecasting demand, and placing orders with suppliers to replenish stock.
- Reporting: Generating reports on inventory levels, discrepancies, and other key metrics for management review.
- Developing and Implementing Procedures: Contributing to the creation and improvement of inventory control processes and best practices.
- Ensuring Compliance: Adhering to all relevant safety regulations and company policies related to inventory management.
Qualifications:
- Associates degree (or higher) in Data Management, Statistics, Information Technology, or a related field of experience
- Prior experience in inventory control or a similar role.
Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in inventory management software and systems
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
