What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler position at MVP Disc Sports?
MVP Disc Sports is a sporting goods company in Marlette, Michigan. We are a growing company with a mission to be the leading edge in technology and innovation in all areas of disc golf.
We are a wholesale supplier for disc golf stores around the world. We're looking to add to our team with the addition of Material Handlers on our first and third shift. Our first shift team works from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. while our third shift team works from 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.
Some responsibilities of this position include:
- Maintaining an accurate inventory and verifying the quality of incoming shipments.
- Labeling products appropriately
- Operating a pallet jack (standard and motorized) and forklift
- Accepting raw material shipments
- Assisting with unloading containers and palletizing product
- Maintaining gaylords and color stock
- Removing scrap as necessary
- Operating a press or other tasks as needed
Skills and Experience:
- Able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
- Forklift experience
- Pallet jack experience (standard and motorized)
- Able to stand/walk for the duration of a shift and climb ladders
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills
