ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Welcome customers warmly and provide an engaging and friendly experience.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently and accurately to process customer orders and payments.
- Handle various forms of payment, including cash, credit/debit cards, and mobile transactions, following established protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized cashier station, ensuring an adequate supply of change and receipt paper.
- Address customer inquiries regarding menu items, ingredients, and pricing knowledgeably and courteously.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure precise order fulfillment and timely service to customers.
- Proactively suggest and promote specialty items, combos, or ongoing promotions to enhance the customer experience.
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards, including proper food handling and compliance with health codes.
- Assist in restocking inventory and monitoring stock levels for food and beverage items.
- Collaborate closely with the team to ensure smooth operations and efficient service, especially during peak hours.
- Handle customer concerns or complaints professionally, seeking support from management when needed.
- Uphold the high standards of customer service to maintain the positive reputation of Cilantro Urban Eatery.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Previous experience in a cashier or customer service role is advantageous.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bilingual ( Spanish or Portuguese preferred)
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in operating a POS system and basic math skills.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and commitment to upholding health code standards.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- A positive attitude, team-player mentality, and willingness to learn and grow.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift/move moderate weights (30 lbs).
- Must maintain proper hygiene and appearance standards for safety and presentation.
- Must have reliable transportation and attendance.

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 12 – 24 per week
