Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Private Duty Nurse to provide personalized care to patients in their homes or healthcare facilities. Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients, including monitoring vital signs and administering medications.
- Perform patient assessments to identify health issues and develop appropriate care plans.
- Provide specialized care for patients with complex medical needs, including those requiring ventilator and trach needs.
- Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Administer meds/injections as needed, ensuring proper techniques and protocols are followed.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate patient care and communicate changes in condition.
- Educate patients and families on health management, treatment plans, and medication administration.
Skills
- Proficiency in patient assessment and monitoring techniques.
- Experience in peds and/or home health desirable.
- Knowledge of infectious disease protocols and patient care best practices.
- Strong skills in IV insertion, venipuncture, and administering injections.
- Familiarity with maintaining medical records according to HIPAA standards.
- Ability to work independently while effectively managing time and prioritizing tasks.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
