MVP Recruitment is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing to lead the clinical team at a highly respected, non-profit Skilled Nursing Facility located 30 minutes East of Hartford, CT. This faith-based community, provides short-term rehabilitation, long-term care, and end-of-life care, welcoming residents and staff of all faiths. The facility features beautiful indoor and outdoor amenities, including a Chapel with daily mass and a serene courtyard.
Position Overview :
As the Director of Nursing, you'll lead a dedicated team of RNs, LPNs, and CNAs, working alongside the Assistant Director of Nursing, and Staff Development Coordinator to ensure the delivery of high-quality, compassionate care to residents. You'll be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the nursing department, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering positive relationships with residents, families, and the care team.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement staffing plans to meet departmental needs.
- Monitor and evaluate nursing care quality through rounds.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, especially during annual surveys.
- Collaborate with the Administrator on resident care and operational strategies.
- Address and resolve resident, family, and staff concerns.
- Represent the facility both internally and in the community.
- Maintain a positive, person-centered environment for residents and staff.
