MVP Recruitment is excited to partner with a privately owned, 120-bed skilled nursing facility in the Lexington / Waltham area to find a dedicated and experienced Director of Admissions . This well-established facility is known for its high-quality care and strong community connections.
Position Overview :
As the Director of Admissions, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring a smooth and efficient admissions process for residents. This position is 90% internal , focusing on managing authorizations for coverage with HMO's, Medicare, and Medicaid. You will also serve as the key liaison with case managers at nearby hospitals, including Mt. Auburn, Newton-Wellesley, and Beth Israel-Lahey.
Key Responsibilities :
Manage and oversee the admissions process, ensuring all required documentation and approvals are obtained.
Coordinate authorizations for insurance coverage, including HMO's, Medicare, and Medicaid.
Communicate and collaborate with case managers at partner hospitals to streamline referrals and transitions.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of admissions and resident information.
Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure a seamless transition for new residents.
Foster positive relationships with hospitals, families, and residents to enhance the admissions experience.
Qualifications :
Previous experience in admissions or case management in a skilled nursing or healthcare setting is required.
Strong knowledge of HMO's, Medicare, and Medicaid authorizations.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with hospital case managers and internal teams.
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a plus.
