About the Position
The Concessions Coordinator is responsible for coordinating outdoor concessions area, including but not limited to staffing, communication, inventory, and food preparation. This position is part of the Member Service Department and reports to the Member Services Manager.
Responsibilities
- Provide staff training and oversight of staffing for outside area in conjunction with Member Services Manager.
- Collaborate with vendors on food and beverage services and maintain product level appropriate to menus.
- Communicate any staffing and maintenance issues with respective manager or team leader.
- Assist with organizing and training staff.
- Develop daily checklists as appropriate for outdoor staff and Managers on Duty.
- Assist in the preparation of periodic activity reports and associated documentation.
- Prepare quality food items by adhering to MVP and Health Department codes.
- Maintain a clean and professional food preparation area.
- Provide superior customer service in timely, professional, and courteous manners which are standards affiliated with MVP Sportsplex.
- Attend and participate in regular Service Game training sessions as directed by supervisor.
- Maintain a neat and professional appearance, by wearing the MVP Sports Clubs uniform (see uniform matrix) and name badge.
- Perform any point-of-sale procedures with CSI Software. Responsible for contents of cash drawer during a specified shift.
- Communicate members’ concerns, comments, and questions to appropriate Manager.
- Perform all job functions at an exceptional level while adhering to areas of accountability.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- First Aid/CPR Training. In the event a team member is hired without CPR or First certifications, they will be required to attend MVP Sports Clubs in-house training to obtain this.
- Two years coordinating and overseeing café or food preparation and staffing is strongly preferred.
- Minimum 6 months prior customer service experience in high volume service industry.
- Experience with food preparation.
- Highly organized and able to communicate effectively with a wide range of diverse customers in an exciting and chaotic environment.
- Strong observation and intervention skills for dealing positively and constructively with children and parents.
- Must be able to move frequently between the indoor complex and outdoors. Ability to think quickly and respond with tact and authority.
- Excellent verbal and personal communication skills.
- Must be able to work weekends, and holidays when needed.
- Ability to stand 95% of the shift and lift weighted objects up to 40 lbs.
- Physical Requirements: Bend, stoop, crouch, climb, stand, sit and turn/pivot; lift/lower, push, pull and carry up to 40 pounds; perform office tasks using simple hand grasping, fine hand manipulation and reach associated with assigned tasks such as paperwork, typing, and/or word processing, filing, calculating and use of telephone; see, hear, and speak with sufficient capability to perform assigned tasks and maintain proper job safety conditions.
