About the Position

The Work-Space Community Supervisor is responsible for supervising and selling MVP Work-Space with emphasis placed on ensuring quality and consistent delivery of customer service and cleanliness to our members with the goals of driving revenue through rental spaces and selling and promoting Work-Space as a value-added tool to retain All Star members as members. The position is a part of the Operational Department, reporting to the Director.

Responsibilities

  • Know, understand, and exemplify the MVP Sports Clubs Values and Service Standards.
  • Ensures that all Team Members (in and out of their department) know, understand, and exemplify the MVP Sports Club values and Service Standards.
  • Work a minimum of 30 hours per week of shift coverage at Work-Space check-in counter and 10 hours of administrative time away from the Work-Space check-in counter.
  • Market and develop usage of conference and meeting rooms.
  • Market and sell MVP Work-Space rentable office and desk spaces.
  • Manage and oversee mail service provided by MVP Work-Space.
  • In tandem with MVP Marketing Department, manage & oversee social media accounts for MVP Work-Space.
  • Meet and greet all members upon arrival and be available for and responsive to client needs at all times as well as effectively address and/or communicate members’ concerns, comments, and questions to the appropriate manager or director.
  • Hire, train, manage, and schedule Work-Space Team Members to provide appropriate coverage as needed to have 1 person staffing the space during all operating hours.
  • Cross-promote MVP Sportsplex and other MVP clubs as a valuable part of the membership.
  • Work collaboratively with MVP Sportsplex leadership to drive Work-Space usage and service existing and potential new members.
  • Responsible for providing, ordering, and maintaining appropriate levels of supplies for the space including but not limited to coffee, water, books, publications, office supplies, and restroom supplies.
  • Uses checklists to ensure a clean and professional facility at all times including but not limited to cleaning up Work-Space common space, conference rooms, kitchen, and restrooms daily.
  • Continually evaluate and refine department operations as necessary.
  • Solicit regular feedback from existing customers to ensure complete satisfaction.
  • Handle the booking and reservation of rental space and manage space inventory system. Inventory includes but is not limited to the 4 meeting rooms and the Upper Deck Conference Room.
  • Responsible for the tracking and collection of all member and non-member billing for programs, meetings, activities and special events associated with MVP co-working space.
  • Work cooperatively with clients to coordinate off-premises caterers and equipment vendors for meetings/events and programs.
  • Meet and greet all conference room space renters upon arrival and be available for client needs during events to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Effectively communicate facility and information system needs to the appropriate department.
  • Follow designated budget and achieves budgeted rental revenues.
  • Adheres to all departmental and program Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Maintain a neat and professional appearance by wearing MVP Sports Clubs uniform (see uniform matrix) and name badge.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sports Administration, Business Management, or related field preferred.
  • Sales and marketing experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently, meet goals and deadlines, and pay close attention to details.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and functions while maintaining a low personal stress level.
  • Ability to generate creative ideas for sales goals and see them through to completion.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Team-oriented disposition and strong human relations skills, able to handle all kinds of personalities.
  • Ability to maintain accurate and complete records, including collected revenues.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective customer working relationships with the public, administrators, peers, and subordinates.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Must be able to work occasional extended hours, nights, and weekends.
  • CPR and First Aid certifications.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand a majority of shift at greeting counter or in Work Space. Bend, stoop, crouch, climb, stand, sit and turn/pivot, lift/lower, push, pull, and carry up to 80 lbs. Perform office tasks using simple hand grasping, fine hand manipulation,n and reach associated with assigned tasks such as paperwork, typing, and/or word processing, filing, calculating, and use of telephone. See, hear, and speak with sufficient capability to perform assigned tasks and maintain proper job safety conditions.
