What are the responsibilities and job description for the Press Operator position at MW Components?
Key Responsibilities:
· Set up stamping press machines according to job specifications, including die changes and adjustments.
· Operate stamping presses to produce metal components per production requirements.
· Inspect parts using measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure quality standards are met.
· Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machines to minimize downtime.
· Monitor the production process, making necessary adjustments to ensure efficiency and quality.
· Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production instructions.
· Follow safety guidelines and company procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
· Document production data and quality checks accurately.
· Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to meet production goals.
Qualifications:
· Previous experience operating and setting up stamping presses preferred.
· Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and adjust machinery.
· Proficiency in reading blueprints and using measurement tools for quality inspections.
· Basic knowledge of safety regulations and machine maintenance.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
· Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
· Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
