Electronics Repair Technician II

Responsibilities and duties : < / b>< / p>

BGA Rework and Repair < / b>< / p>

• Experience in reworking BGA components including disordering and soldering.< / li>
• Ability to identify faulty BGA components and replace them. < / li> < / ul>

  BGA Inspection < / b>< / p>

  • Skilled in visual inspection of BGA solder joints using magnification tools (e.g. microscopes xray equipment). < / li> < / ul>

    Soldering Skills< / b>< / p>

    • Expertise in both hand soldering and machine soldering techniques.< / li>
    • Familiarity with leaded and leadfree soldering processes.< / li> < / ul>

      Use of BGA Rework Stations< / b>< / p>

      • Proficiency in operating BGA rework stations (e.g. using hot air).< / li>
      • Knowledge of temperature profiling and managing reflow cycles.< / li> < / ul>

        Experience with Xray Machines< / b>< / p>

        • Familiarity with Xray inspection of BGAs to check for hidden solder joint defects.< / li> < / ul>

          Understanding of PCB Materials and Components< / b>< / p>

          • Knowledge of various PCB materials components and their characteristics.< / li> < / ul>

            SurfaceMount Technology (SMT) Experience< / b>< / p>

            • Experience in working with SMT components in addition to BGA rework.< / li> < / ul>

              Handling of Sensitive Components < / b>< / p>

              • Familiarity with handling ESDsensitive components and the use of antistatic equipment.< / li> < / ul>

                Quality Control and Documentation< / b>< / p>

                • Experience in documenting work including repair logs and following quality control procedures.< / li>
                • Ability to work with engineering teams to ensure repairs meet quality standards. < / li> < / ul>

                  Experience with Thermal Profiling Software< / b>< / p>

                  • Familiarity with thermal profiling tools to ensure proper heat distribution during rework.< / li> < / ul>

                    Communication Skills< / b>< / p>

                    • Strong ability to communicate technical issues clearly with other team members and management.< / li> < / ul>

                      Time Management and Efficiency< / b>< / p>

                      • Ability to work efficiently under time constraints while maintaining highquality standards.< / li> < / ul>

                        Knowledge of Industry Standards< / b>< / p>

                        • Understanding of relevant industry standards such as IPCA610 IPC7711 / 21 (rework and repair) and others.< / li> < / ul>

                          Requirements : < / b>< / p>

                          • High School Diploma or GED with minimum two (2) years of work experience in an electronics repair and / or maintenance.< / li>
                          • Capable of working flexible shifts including nights weekends and holidays< / li>
                          • Must be flexible and willing to work any area in Repair or Production as necessary< / li>
                          • Must speak read and write English fluently< / li>
                          • Regular attendance and punctuality is required< / li>
                          • Must be an appropriate organizational fit for the Thales culture and values< / li>
                          • Must be well groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance< / li>
                          • Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located< / li> < / ul>
