Product Manager

Client is a family of leading brands and businesses that design, manufacture, market and distribute furniture, equipment, and supplies to professional customers serving the tattoo, pet grooming, and spa/salon markets.

Reporting to the Sr. Product Development Manager, this role will be called on to manage and assist with planning and managing the deliverables within product development projects from conceptualization to testing to product deployment, within the Tattoo & Beauty brands.

As the Product Development Project Manager, you will work closely to develop and grow business opportunities. Success in this role will require a strong background in product development processes, proactive administration, and ability to work across multiple teams.

What you ll be doing

• Collaborating with product development (PDev) and brand leaders on initiating projects and outlining project plans into the gate process
• Owning, managing, and continuously improving the 5-stage gate process and Document Control process
• Initiating, scheduling, and facilitating product development meetings as required
• Effectively communicating with all departments/brands to gather project briefs, product requirements, sales, financial, and technical data
• Creating, managing, maintaining, and ensuring execution of multiple project schedules and timelines
• Working with technical teams & vendors on sourcing samples, scheduling testing, and researching information
• Anticipating potential risks within projects & managing expectations in advance for planning
• Performing market competitive analysis on products
• Interacting and engaging with customers through product testing, and leading the beta testing process
• Supporting and coaching junior level team members with project management and execution
• Collaborating closely and supporting GTM (Go to Market) Manager, Inventory Control, and Purchasing teams during product planning, setup & launch
• Working directly with product development and cross-functional teams on tracking project progress, ensure deliverables are met and meet project timelines i.e. gate process monitoring
• Compiling and maintaining reports, records, and various other forms of pertinent information in an organized and professional manner
• Revising, creating and implementing procedures to increase efficiency and quality in workflow
• Compiling reports, presentations and records revolving around project status, results, and planning
• Interacting respectfully and sensitively with individuals and groups to develop and maintain productive relationships and achieve results
• Supporting PDev on filing patents, trademarks, and other IP (Intellectual Property)
• Making excellent customer service a priority, responding to changing needs and helping to implement solutions
• Special projects as assigned

Is this role for you?

• Bachelor's Degree in business management or related field
• 3-5 years relevant work experience within Project Management
• Project management professional (PMP) certification is beneficial
• Able to create SOPs to improve process/workflow
• Willing to travel between 10-20%
• Able to work collaboratively and independently, self-starter
• Excellent time management skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Effective communication skills internally and externally
• Strong computer skills
• Strong math & analytical skills
• Familiar with 3d and 2d engineering files types and emailing large files
• Ability to work with a team of highly motivated individuals
• MS Excel, Word, Office Suites
• Experience with Monday.com, Smartsheets is a big plus
• Experience with manufacturing/consumer goods/development environment preferred
