Job Overview: Project Coordinator – Civil Construction
The Project Coordinator will support the planning, execution, and completion of civil infrastructure projects, ensuring seamless coordination between teams, compliance with regulatory requirements, and efficient documentation management. This role will coordinate with project managers, field teams, and clients to keep projects on schedule, in compliance, and within scope.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist project managers in planning, scheduling, and tracking project progress.
- Maintain and update project documentation, including permits, contracts, RFIs, and change orders.
- Coordinate communication between internal teams, subcontractors, and clients.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including safety standards.
- Support procurement by tracking materials, equipment, and subcontractor agreements.
- Monitor project costs and budget adherence, providing reports as needed.
- Assist in the preparation of project reports, presentations, and status updates.
- Organize and schedule meetings, take minutes, and follow up on action items.
- Address and resolve administrative issues to keep projects running smoothly.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (preferred).
- 3 years of experience in project coordination with civil construction.
- Strong understanding of civil infrastructure projects, including grading, roads, and bridges.
- Proficiency in project management software (ProjectSight, Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar).
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of construction safety regulations and compliance requirements.
