Job Summary:
Mountain West Industrial is seeking skilled Ironworkers to join our team. This role requires extensive travel to job sites, primarily on mine sites throughout the country. Our Ironworkers play a critical role in constructing, installing, and repairing steel frameworks and other metal structures in challenging environments. We place a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and compliance with OSHA and MSHA standards.
Responsibilities:
- Erect, install, and repair steel frameworks, columns, beams, and girders based on blueprints and specifications
- Assemble and join structural components using welding, bolting, and rigging techniques
- Operate cranes, hoists, and other lifting equipment safely and effectively
- Perform cutting, bending, and shaping of metal materials as needed
- Follow all OSHA and MSHA safety protocols, including use of PPE, and participate in job site safety meetings
- Inspect and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas to ensure a safe and efficient workspace
- Collaborate with team members to accomplish project goals within established timelines
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and time spent on tasks
Requirements:
- Previous experience as an ironworker or in a related construction field
- Strong knowledge of welding, rigging, and metalworking techniques
- Familiarity with OSHA and MSHA regulations, with a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents
- Physical strength, stamina, and the ability to work in various weather conditions
- Willingness to travel extensively for extended periods and work in remote locations
- Valid driver’s license; CDL is a plus
