What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Worker position at MWI?
MWI, Inc. is a premier tobacco accessory distributor in Houston Texas. MWI, Inc. currently has an opportunity for a motivated individual to join our fast growing, fast-paced organization.
This proactive person will engage in all material handling duties, including lifting, transporting, storing, unloading and loading materials and products by performing any combination of the following duties.
-Reads Company documentation or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
-Operates Company material handling equipment as safe and appropriate for particular materials to be moved.
-Picks or unloads product and transports it to inventory or shipping area according to daily production schedule by hand or Company-approved material handling equipment.
-Counts, weighs and records number of units of materials moved or handled using Company approved documentation process.
-Packs items per Company protocols per customer order to ensure safe transport and receipt of product.
-Uses approved identifying tags, labels and marking information on cases, boxes or other containers.
-Receives all products according to Company receiving protocols.
-Informs Supervisor when additional supplies are needed for shipping, receiving or material handling.
-Inspects all material handling equipment before each shift and notifies Supervisor for repairs as necessary.
-Performs routine maintenance procedures as directed by Supervisor.
-Any other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Qualifications
-Moderate skill in computer software such as email software
-Bilingual preferred
Education
-Minimum high school diploma or equivalent GED
-Minimum 6 months of material handling experience

Expected hours: 47.5 – 54 per week
