MyBambu is a financial institution delivering the first all-in-one mobile digital banking solution targeting the Hispanic unbanked and underbanked population. Your Opportunity:

This is a full-time, in person position reporting to the President of Operations. As a DevOps Engineer you will play a pivotal role in deploying and supporting our high-performance SaaS application. You’ll be responsible for building and optimizing resilient, scalable systems that power our business and deliver critical functionality to our growing community of users. In this role, you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain AWS-based solutions, ensuring our development tools and infrastructure are both robust and secure.

Job Responsibilities:

• Build and implement new development tools and infrastructure.
• Develop and deploy AWS applications, including large-scale data processing and advanced analytics.
• Identify opportunities to automate and enhance development and release processes.
• Develop scripts and tools to reduce errors and improve system performance.
• Understand stakeholder needs and translate them into actionable development priorities.
• Work closely with software developers, engineers, and business analysts to ensure established processes are followed and work as intended.
• Test and examine code written by others, analyzing results to ensure high quality.
• Ensure systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats.
• Troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
• Design procedures for system troubleshooting and ongoing maintenance
• Participate in project planning and management decisions.
• Serve as a technical expert and advocate for innovation, best practices, and continuous improvement within the cloud engineering team.
• Educate teams on new cloud-based initiatives, providing training as necessary.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and software deployment methodologies.

Skill and Abilities:

• Strong technical skills in architecting, designing, developing, and implementing cloud solutions on AWS platforms.
• Participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle for AWS solutions, including planning, requirements, development, testing, and quality assurance.
• Troubleshoot incidents, identify root causes, fix and document problems, and implement preventive measures
• Demonstrate exceptional problem-solving skills, with an ability to see and solve issues before they affect business productivity
• Build tools to reduce occurrence of errors and improve customer experience
• Perform root cause analysis of production errors and resolve technical issues
• Develop scripts to automate processes
• Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance
• Educate teams on the implementation of new cloud-based initiatives, providing associated training when necessary
• Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends and software deployment methodologies.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering or a related field or equivalent experience.
• Four (4 ) years of experience in architecting, designing, developing, and implementing cloud solutions on AWS platforms
• Proven ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of business analysts, developers, data engineers, and subject-matter experts
• Experience with agile project management, development methodologies and tools.
• Detail-oriented with solid problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in a start-up or fast growth organization or division
• Experience in working in distributed and remote development teams.
• Experience in several of the following areas: firewalls, API gateways, VPNs, database architecture, ETL, business intelligence, big data, mobile applications, multi-tenant SaaS applications, and analytics
• Knowledge of web services, API, REST, and RPC
• AWS certification
• Any experience in Banking, Fintech or regulated industries is a plus

Physical Requirements: 

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
