Position Overview:
We are seeking a qualified Lab Technician/ Phlebotomist who combines technical expertise with business acumen. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with COVID-19, RSV, and Influenza testing equipment, a comprehensive understanding of laboratory procedures, and the ability to manage and drive sales for our testing lab.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform and oversee all diagnostic testing procedures, ensuring accuracy and compliance with laboratory standards.
- Operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot COVID-19, RSV, and Influenza testing equipment.
- Maintain and manage laboratory inventory, ensuring the availability of testing materials.
- Build and manage relationships with clients, including healthcare providers and businesses, to drive sales for lab services.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue goals.
- Collaborate with the team to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Prepare and maintain documentation for laboratory processes and sales activities.
- Stay updated on advancements in diagnostic technology and share insights with the team.
- Perform venipunctures, capillary punctures, and other specimen collection techniques.
- Ensure proper labeling, handling, and transportation of samples to maintain integrity.
- Provide a patient-centric experience by ensuring comfort and clear communication during sample collection.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare providers, corporate clients, and community organizations.
- Promote My Care Labs’ testing solutions, including on-site and mobile services, to new and existing clients.
- Identify business opportunities and develop strategies to expand client accounts.
Requirements:
- Should be able to lift 50-pound weight.
- Proven experience as a Lab Technician, preferably in a diagnostic or medical lab.
- Hands-on knowledge of COVID-19, RSV, and Influenza testing protocols and equipment.
- Strong sales and account management skills, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Medical Technology, Biology, or equivalent experience).
- Certified Phlebotomist (CPT) or equivalent qualification required.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent laboratory experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory protocols and equipment usage.
- Sales experience or interest in driving revenue growth is highly preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
