Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Sonographer to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations to assist in the evaluation of patients' medical conditions. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, physiology, and the ability to operate ultrasound equipment effectively. The Sonographer will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive sonographic examinations, including but not limited to abdominal, pelvic, and vascular studies.
- Utilize appropriate techniques and equipment to obtain high-quality images for diagnostic evaluation.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of anatomy, physiology, and pathology relevant to sonography.
- Ensure adherence to aseptic techniques and safety protocols during procedures.
- Document findings accurately in patient records and communicate results to the healthcare team.
- Monitor vital signs and assess patient conditions during examinations.
- Collaborate with physicians in cardiac catheterization procedures as needed.
- Provide education and support to patients regarding the ultrasound process and any necessary preparations.
Experience
- Proven experience in sonography or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and diagnostic evaluation processes is essential.
- Knowledge of emergency medicine practices is beneficial.
- Experience with telemetry monitoring is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are required.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while maintaining professionalism at all times.

- CCI or CRSC Certification within a year of hire
