PURPOSE OF POSITION
The primary duty of the Medical Office Scheduler is to answer incoming calls to the phone line of My Community Health Center, to schedule patient appointments and to perform clerical duties under the direction of the Supervisor and Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS
- Answer incoming calls
- Reschedule patients when necessary
- Reschedule bumped appointments, notify patients by phone and by mail
- Cancel and reschedule appointments when schedules change
- Confirm patient appointments using iVerify or by phone as needed
- Support the mission of MCHC
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or higher – level education
- Excellent phone and customer service skills
- Familiarity with Electronic Health Records Systems, i.e. Allscripts
- Able to speak and conduct themselves professionally
- Strong interpersonal skills; effective and positive communication
- Adjust easily to changes in schedules and clinical staff
- Function independently, have flexibility to work with all levels of personnel; clinical, professional and clerical
- Expected to adhere to My Community Health Center’s Policies and Procedures
- Expected to meet and follow Privacy and Security Regulations
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
