Independent Living Experience (ILE), a sister company to College Living Experience (CLE), is seeking to hire a coach/consultant in Austin, TX. Independent Living Experience supports adults with varying exceptionalities to achieve goals and improve their quality of life through personalized transition services. It is a support program for young adults who are transitioning from a post-secondary educational setting, or another adult program, into an environment of living on their own and maintaining employment. Individuals with autism spectrum disorders, Asperger’s syndrome, learning disabilities, developmental delays and other special needs are served within the ILE program.
This position is primarily responsible for client coaching and problem solving. An ILE Consultant provides instruction for each assigned client based upon his/her skill- level, assisting each client in developing a meaningful circle of support, as well as facilitating the process for obtaining quality of life outcomes. Sessions occur in person and virtually and may require availability on evenings/weekends. Currently, this position is part-time ranging from 5 to 10 hours weekly. There is room for growth in this role.

- This position requires the candidate to hold a bachelor’s degree in psychology, social science, education or other related field with a minimum of three years of relevant experience working with special needs individuals, life coaching, or direct instruction. We are looking for a commitment of at least one (1) year.
- Graduate student, preferred.
- The candidate must have experience as a school, community, or private practice-based professional with demonstrated skills in developing older adolescents/young adults, securing the respect and cooperation of their parents; and implementing successful behavior based psychosocial interventions.
- Proficiency is required in Microsoft applications, as well as Zoom and Google.
