We are currently seeking a highly qualified Legal Counsel to join our team. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring compliance, managing risks, and providing strategic legal guidance to support the company’s operations.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and finalize agreements, contracts, and other legal documents to safeguard the company’s rights.
- Collaborate with management to develop effective defense strategies and manage risks.
- Research and evaluate risk factors related to business decisions and operations.
- Proactively identify and address potential legal issues, offering sound advice to management.
- Communicate and negotiate with external parties (regulators, external counsel, public authorities, etc.), fostering relationships built on trust.
- Provide clarification on legal language and specifications to internal teams.
- Maintain integrity and responsibility in all work conducted.
- Stay informed on legislative changes and advise on their implications.
- Counsel executives on various legal topics, including labor law, partnerships, corporate finance, and international ventures.
- Establish and monitor internal governance policies to ensure compliance.
Ideal Candidate
- High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Proven experience as Legal Counsel in a corporate environment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of corporate law and legal procedures.
- Strong understanding of external environmental influences on corporations.
- Ability to craft proactive legal strategies and sound defensive measures.
- Exceptional judgment and analytical skills.
- Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (J.D. degree preferred).
- Advanced degree (e.g., MA or BSc in Business Administration) is a plus.
