We are seeking a skilled and motivated Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our dynamic dental team in Allentown.
As an EFDA, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and assisting the dentist in various clinical procedures. Your expertise and knowledge will contribute to creating a positive and comfortable dental experience for our patients.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist the dentist in a range of dental procedures, including but not limited to restorative, prosthodontic, endodontic, and oral surgery treatments.
- Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for procedures, ensuring proper sterilization and infection control protocols are followed.
- Perform preliminary patient assessments, including taking and recording vitals, dental histories, and X-rays.
- Update and maintain patient records and treatment charts accurately and efficiently.
- Take accurate impressions of patients' teeth for study models, crowns, bridges, and other dental prosthetics.
