Role and Responsibilities 

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with company policies. This role serves as a key link between Warehouse Associates and the Warehouse Manager, ensuring a well-organized workflow, maintaining safety standards, and fostering a productive team environment. The Warehouse Supervisor will also focus on inventory control, process optimization, and team performance to maximize operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise Warehouse Associates in all aspects of receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping automotive parts and products.
• Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy by conducting regular cycle counts, audits, and reconciliations to minimize stock discrepancies.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and labeling of all warehouse materials following company procedures.
• Oversee shipping and receiving operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of incoming and outgoing orders.
• Train and coach Warehouse Associates on best practices, proper equipment handling, and compliance with safety protocols.
• Assist in warehouse layout optimization, ensuring efficient space utilization and streamlined workflow.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety regulations, leading safety meetings and enforcing safety procedures.
• Inspect and maintain warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, conveyor belts, etc.), ensuring all tools are in proper working condition.
• Resolve operational issues, such as delays, damaged shipments, incorrect orders, or missing inventory.
• Coordinate with the Warehouse Manager to improve productivity, identify process inefficiencies, and implement corrective measures.
• Prepare and review warehouse reports, including order fulfillment accuracy, productivity metrics, and employee performance evaluations.
• Lead by example, fostering a team-oriented environment with a focus on continuous improvement and high performance.
• Assist in workforce planning, including scheduling shifts and managing labor allocation based on operational needs.
• Perform other warehouse duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager to support daily operations.

Qualifications and RequirementsEducational/Experience Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous warehouse experience is required; supervisory experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, shipping/receiving processes, and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced work environment.
• Proficient in warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory tracking software.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills to manage a diverse team.
• Experience operating warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and RF scanners (certifications preferred).
• Ability to analyze warehouse performance metrics and implement process improvements.
• Must be a team player and willing to support other departments as needed.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and ensure compliance among team members.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 60 lbs regularly throughout the workday.
• Must be able to climb ladders, reach overhead, and work in varying warehouse temperatures.
• Requires frequent bending, stooping, and handling of warehouse materials.

Work Environment:

• Work is performed in a warehouse/shop setting with a moderate to high noise level.
• Warehouse conditions may vary, with exposure to hot and cold temperatures based on the season.
• Requires working in an environment with heavy equipment, moving machinery, and industrial storage racks.
