Per Diem EEG Technician
Schedule: 1-2 shifts per month | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM | No weekends | No on-call
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced EEG Technician to join our team on a per diem basis. In this role, you will perform high-quality electroencephalograms (EEGs) ensuring accurate data collection to assist in neurological diagnoses. This is a great opportunity for an EEG Tech looking for a flexible schedule.
- Perform routine and specialized EEG studies following established protocols.
- Ensure accurate electrode placement and proper operation of EEG equipment.
- Monitor and document patient responses, artifacts, and clinical observations.
- Maintain patient comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
- Comply with all hospital policies, HIPAA regulations, and industry standards.
Requirements:
- Education: Completion of an accredited/formal EEG program.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years performing EEGs in a hospital or clinical setting.
- Certification: BLS certification required.
- Licensure: ABRET required.
- Technical Skills: Experience using the Natus charting system preferred.
