Rate: $34.00 per hour
Expected to work every other weekend & every other holiday

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Acute Care team at Rochester General Hospital. This is a 13-week local assignment offering 12-hour day shifts. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1-2 years of acute care hospital experience and be able to independently take assignments. The position involves working every other weekend and every other holiday.

This is a fantastic opportunity for LPNs currently in the process of becoming Registered Nurses (RN), as you'll gain valuable acute care experience in a dynamic hospital setting.

Job Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care hospital experience (This is NOT a long-term care (LTC) unit).
• Licenses/Certifications:
• Current LPN license.
• AHA BLS certification (Required).
• Duties:
• The LPN will be expected to take their own assignments and provide direct patient care.
• Float between departments as needed, including to ICU or ER (to care for medical-surgical level patients or provide additional support).
• Must be comfortable with floating and taking on assignments in various departments within the hospital.
• Must be able to manage multiple patients and provide a high level of care.
• Schedule:
• 12-hour day shifts, with every other weekend and every other holiday expected.
• Flexibility to float as needed.

Additional Information:

• Local candidates will be accepted.
• The facility has the option to call off up to 3 shifts for the 13-week contract, and up to 2 shifts for contracts shorter than 13 weeks.
