Job Description
Job Title: Pharmacy Manager
Reports To: VP, Clinical Services & Analytics Supervises: Pharmacy Staff
Summary
Responsible for the management, oversight and operations of all aspects within the pharmacy.
Schedule
Monday - Friday (8a -5p)
Essential Responsibilities
- Ensure staffing optimization positively impacts quality of care and patient experience
- Enforce pharmacy policies and procedures
- Perform pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management
- Accountable for safe medication storage, diversion monitoring and other pharmacy inventory activities
- Resolve patient complaints and answer questions to ensure a positive patient experience
- Assist Human Resources with talent management life cycle including recruiting, onboarding, mentoring/developing, engagement, training, retention, performance management and succession planning
- Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal laws and regulations
- Ensure compliance with all applicable TJC standards and elements of performance (EPs)
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited college or university
- Current and unrestricted Florida Pharmacy License
- Not on the DEA Excluded Parties List
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Excellent communication skills that will foster trust, clear vision, and mutual respect
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to resolve employee, client and patient issues with a strong service mentality
- Ability to identify areas of opportunity, develop a plan of action to improve, implement and evaluate plan effectively
- Proficient in Microsoft applications such as Outlook, Word and Excel
- Experience opening a new pharmacy (preferred)
