Director of Sales and Strategic Growth

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to join our team as the Director of Sales and Strategic Growth. In this role, you will oversee My House Events’ sales initiatives while managing and mentoring other team members to optimize performance and streamline processes. You’ll lead our expansion into new markets, with a particular focus on LA, and position our company for major opportunities like the 2026 Super Bowl in the Bay Area, the LA Olympics, and partnerships with more spirit brands.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Sales Leadership – Drive revenue growth by refining and optimizing our sales strategy.
  • Team Management – Oversee and support the sales and production teams, ensuring alignment with company goals and fostering professional development.
  • Process Optimization – Implement and improve sales workflows, including CRM management, lead tracking, and reporting.
  • Strategic Partnerships – Build and maintain relationships with key venues, clients, and brand partners.
  • Market Expansion – Lead outreach and sales efforts to grow our presence in LA and other key cities.
  • Big Event Positioning – Secure My House Events as the go-to catering partner for major industry events, including the Super Bowl, LA Olympics, and high-profile brand activations.

About My House Events

Founded in 2012 in New Orleans and expanded to Los Angeles in 2020, My House Events (MHE) is a mission-driven catering and event production company that connects top culinary talent with unforgettable private and brand events. We specialize in curating diverse chef partnerships, prioritizing BIPOC, LGBTQ, and women chefs, and delivering high-quality experiences for corporate, social, and experiential events. Our work has been featured in collaborations with brands like the NFL, ILIA, Primal Kitchen, TikTok, Etro, Hendricks Gin, and Suntory Whisky. As we grow into new markets, we’re seeking a Director of Sales and Strategic Growth to help scale our impact in LA and beyond.

Sales Leadership

  • Management: Directly manage and oversee our Sales and Venue Manager based in NOLA to ensure they are on target, have support they need, and the right tools for success.
  • Sales Strategy: Oversee and refine sales processes, focusing on inbound and outbound lead generation, sales cycle optimization, and client retention.
  • Revenue Growth: Drive sales efforts to meet revenue and profitability goals, emphasizing repeat business and annual contracts.
  • Team Development: Collaborate with the sales team to set clear KPIs, ensure accountability, and provide mentorship and leadership for improved performance.
  • Client Relationships: Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including corporate clients, planners, venues, and other industry partners.


Strategic Expansion

  • LA: Continue the growth that we have set the groundwork for the past few years. Important previous relationships with venues that don't have in house catering, planners, and high net worth private clients.
  • SF Bay Market : Lead efforts to establish My House Events in the Bay Area for 2026 Superbowl - helping us turn 2025 NOLA Superbowl clients into repeat business.
  • Super Bowl 2026: Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to ensure My House Events is a top contender for catering and event management opportunities during Super Bowl week. Including talking to 2025 clients from New Orleans Super Bowl and ensuring we get repeat business.
  • Partnership Development: Identify and nurture partnerships with venues, corporate clients, and experiential event producers to drive business in new markets.
  • Long-Term Planning: Work with the team to set My House Events up for success with high-profile, repeat, and large-scale events in new and existing regions.


Business Development

  • Marketing Events: Host high level events with current and potential clients and tastings, working alongside our Brand and Production team, to attract clients in the social, wedding, and corporate sectors.
  • Newsletter: Work with Brand team to develop hubspot newsletter using branded content to keep in touch with people in our database
  • Collaborations: Work with the marketing team to establish partnerships and collaborations that align with My House Events’ mission and growth objectives.


Operational Alignment

  • Sales Systems: Refine and manage tools like HubSpot to track pipelines, monitor client interactions, and drive data-informed decision-making.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with production, operations, and marketing teams to ensure smooth transitions from sales to execution and consistent messaging across all platforms.


Data and Analysis

  • Analyze market trends, sales performance, and client data to inform strategies and pivot as necessary.
  • Develop insights and recommendations to optimize sales processes and marketing efforts.


Skills and Experience

  • Proven Leadership: Experience in sales and strategic growth, with a history of success in hospitality, catering, or event management industries.
  • Market Expansion: Demonstrated ability to open new markets, establish key relationships, and drive revenue growth in unfamiliar regions.
  • Event Expertise: Knowledge of large-scale events and a strategic mindset for preparing for marquee opportunities like the Super Bowl.
  • Entrepreneurial Mindset: Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, and remote-friendly environment.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficiency with HubSpot or similar CRM systems for sales tracking and reporting. Additionally, the ability to create spreadsheets using Excel is important.
  • Relationship Builder: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain high-value partnerships.
  • Mission-Driven: Passionate about supporting diverse chefs and elevating culinary talent.
