CAM / CAD Technician
Job Summary
Our client company is expanding to vertically integrate core printed circuit board operations. As such, we are seeking a candidate to support front end imaging operations. Knowledge related to LED imaging, CAD / CAM based programming, optical measurement systems and handling equipment is a plus. The candidate will be responsible for gathering design data and assisting in imaging setup, testing and processing through image automation.

- Work under the supervision and guidance of the CAD / CAM engineering lead, to support daily operation requirements
Learn the current CAD / CAM package tooling process, scripts, tools etc. to support vertical integration. Train to be able to tool data packages in CAM software.
Read in design files in various formats such as .dxf and Gerber using software design tools.Coordinate internal files to create daily CAD / CAM packages for the in-house facility operations.Demonstrate over an established time the ability to learn and be fluent inINCAM to create production plating images for the MDI imager including :
Layer scaling for etch compensationFixture multi-up imagingCalculate plating surface areaTooling images for proper tentingProcess design data using DFM functions to check for design rule violations.Resolve all DXF / Gerber design violations w / the engineering teams.Process routings / part specific travelersCreate travelers for daily production useProcess / location specific requirements (i.e. electrolytic Cu thickness, plating recipe selection, etc.)Support all the hardware using the front end tooled packagesMDI imaging system, AOI system, Inkjet solder mask printer, LPKF stencil cutter
Support all file generation, cropping, calibration, necessary cad edits, etc.Support daily production uptime through timely processing of both the CAD / CAM files and with troubleshooting and maintaining associated equipment hardware.Create part specific first article documentation highlightingCritical line width and space measurementsProcess notes.
Assist in helping the CAD engineer to establish change order / revision controls and a process to document all front-end modifications.Support all elements of productionEducation / Qualifications
Minimum of 2-4 years of CAD / CAM experienceExperience with :Circuit CAD Layout
Creation of soldermask filesCreation of imaging and optical inspection filesCreation of product routing / traveler generationInterpret and accurately read production drawingsExperience in qualifying new process equipmentGenerate equipment specifications
Process, maintenance and all safety documentationPerform equipment qual and buyoffProcess / product qualInspection to ensure conformance to applicable product specifications.The ability to train and lead operators to established documentationExperience monitoring process yield focused on process improvementAbility to generate, track and present process throughput and yield performanceDemonstrated ability to debug hardware and software of manufacturing new processesThe ability to learn and become fluent in a reasonable period of time all software and hardware tools associated with the position as noted in the job description aboveSolid skills in problem solving, statistics, manufacturing quality, and quality principlesAbility to work independently and be effective in a fast paced environmentExcellent writing and organizational skillsAbility to travel to off site locations as neededAbility to move or lift up to 20 lbsFlexibility to periodically work on second shift based on training, equipment debug / maintenance, etcFlexibility to provide periodic weekend support based on manufacturing demand.About MY HR :
