Full-time Mother's Helper Nanny

Job Description

A busy and loving family with six children is seeking a dedicated, full-time Mother’s Helper to provide essential support to parents throughout the day. This role involves assisting with childcare, driving children to afterschool activities, and offering hands-on help at home. Four of the children are in school until the afternoon, while the two youngest are home during the day. Both parents work from home and require an extra set of hands now that the older children are more involved in extracurriculars. The family employs a housekeeping and laundry service, so the primary focus for the Mother’s Helper will be on providing child-related care and support.

The ideal Mother’s Helper is active, playful, and fun, with experience caring for children aged 2 years and older. Nannies pursuing a degree or nannies with at least 3 years of experience are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

• Assist parents with the daily care and supervision of six children, including two younger children who are home during the day.
• Support parents with school pick-ups, as well as transporting children to and from afterschool activities or appointments as needed.
• Provide care for the youngest children during the day such as feeding, naps, potty training, and playtime. (Parents will provide their schedule and routine.)
• Maintain a tidy, child-friendly environment by organizing play areas and encouraging children to clean up after activities.
• Assist in preparing children’s snacks and meals. Doing dishes and cleaning up kitchen after children’s meals and snacks.

Pay Rate

$25-30/hr. on payroll, plus paid time off and holidays

Schedule

• Monday to Friday, 10:30am to 6:30pm
• 40 hours per week
• Occasional date nights or weekend help may be requested.

Kensington Nanny Agency Requirements

• Must have 3 or more years of recent, verifiable professional private home experience
• Understanding of professional boundaries, modesty and dressing appropriately
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Have a reliable car
• Excellent driving record
• Be drug-free
• Able to swim
• Have a stable work history
• Speak excellent English – must read & write
• Be authorized to work in the United States
• Have no criminal record
• Be CPR & First Aid Certified (prior to beginning work in the home)
