Our Preschool Academy has an immediate opening for a Schoolage Lead Teacher to join our team.
Must be energetic, a team player and maintain a positive attitude. Must meet basic requirements of local child care regulatory agency. Previous experience is preferred.
Part-Time Role: Availability from 12:30 PM to 6:30 PM, with flexibility during the morning hours.
Duties
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Supervise children at all times maintaining a secure, safe environment for children to play and learn in.
- Attend ongoing training to keep education and regulations up to date.
- Implement and create lesson plans based on a monthly theme.
- Complete necessary classroom reports.
- Follow the center’s policies, procedures, and regulations as well as those from DCF.
- Drive the bus (14 passengers) from the elementary schools we serve to our school.
Required Experience and Skills:
- Classroom teaching experience.
- Must be physically able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds
- Must be a team player, able to adapt to a continuously changing, fast-paced environment and make the children's needs the primary focus.
- Have a love for children and a strong desire to make a difference
Requirements
Required Education/Certifications:
- High School Diploma required
- Staff Credential preferred
- 45 DCF Hours required
- CPR and First Aid required
- Driver License
- We require applicants to be at least 21 years old
Salary : $15 - $17
