Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Pre-K Teacher to work with children ages 4-5 years. The ideal candidate will have a CDA or an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education, along with a minimum of one year of experience working with Pre-K children. As a Lead Teacher, you will play a vital role in preparing children for kindergarten by creating a positive, structured, and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a creative curriculum that meets the developmental needs of each child.
• Assist children in labeling and expressing their emotions, wants, and needs in a positive, supportive manner.
• Foster a classroom environment that encourages self-regulation, independence, and positive behavior.
• Use teaching strategies that support diverse learning styles and promote social-emotional learning.
• Guide children through daily routines and activities, offering gentle but firm guidance when needed.
• Maintain effective communication with parents and caregivers to provide updates on student progress and address concerns.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that aligns with health and safety standards.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and administrators to ensure high-quality early childhood education.
• Uphold and model the Early Childhood Education (ECE) code of ethics in all interactions with children, families, and colleagues.

Qualifications:

• CDA certification or an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education 
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working with Pre-K children.
• Knowledge of age-appropriate teaching strategies and Creative Curriculum.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to label and assist children with their emotions, wants, and needs.
• Understanding of child guidance techniques and ability to set appropriate boundaries.
• Ability to work well as part of a team and collaborate effectively with others.
• Must align with the ECE code of ethics and uphold high standards of professionalism.
