Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and monitor groups of dogs throughout the day, ensuring their safety, engagement, and positive interactions.
- Facilitate structured playtime and activities, providing a fun and enriching environment.
- Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the facility, including dog play areas, kennels, and common spaces.
- Communicate with pet parents regularly, providing updates on their dog’s activities, behavior, and general well-being.
- Assist in the intake process for new dogs, including conducting behavioral assessments when needed.
- Administer basic pet care tasks such as feeding and administering medications when needed.
- Respond to any dog-related incidents with calmness, professionalism, and quick action.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in animal care or related fields such as pet grooming, veterinary assistance, or kennel work is preferred but not required.
- Willingness to learn dog handling techniques, dog behavior, cleaning methods, and animal restraint methods.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when required.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with dogs, their owners, and co-workers.
- A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their well-being.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays is required.
- Must be 18 years or older to apply.
