What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Designer position at MY RECRUE?
1/15: Sent 1 candidate so far. Industry experience wasn't applicable. 2 needs here. Need more resumes. Branch out geographically, I think I can sell a video hire if they'd go. I will try higher rates within reason. Just get me something to sell.
1/16: Mgr just let me know that he will consider Solidworks people that are confident they can pick up Inventor/Vault quickly.
As far as industry, it just has to be mechanical/machine focused.
Client has a huge backlog of work involving drawing conversions from imperial to Metric, and also needs help converting old, scanned drawings to 3D models and creating drawings to the latest standards. 3 to 6 months worth of work, but may be extended depending on workload. They would like these resources on-site to be able to see the machines/equipment they will be working on.
Requirements:
- Looking for a mechanical designer or drafter with strong Inventor and GD&T skills.
- Experience with mechanical components for heavy/industrial/mobile equipment or related (Plasser makes machines that basically help level and align railroad tracks).
- Experience with and OK with the bulk of the work involving drawing conversions and converting old scanned drawings into 3D models.
- Experience doing ECO’s and ECR’s.
