Duties
- Provide direct support to shelter residents, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Answering our 24/7 hotline, providing emotional support and offering resources.
- Engage in crisis intervention when necessary, utilizing effective conflict management techniques.
- Supervise residents, offering guidance and support to encourage positive behavior management.
- Maintain accurate files and documentation of resident interactions and incidents.
- Communicate with staff regarding scheduling and messages.
Experience
- Previous experience in a shelter or similar environment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Skills in crisis intervention, conflict management, and behavior management are highly desirable.
- Strong data entry skills and attention to detail are essential for maintaining accurate records.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating independence when necessary.
