My Time Recovery, Fresno's Premier drug rehab and alcohol treatment center, is seeking an experienced and compassionate LVN/Healthcare Technician to join our team. As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will serve as a liaison between providers and clients, advocating for our clients' medical and psychiatric needs while ensuring their safety and well-being. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Act as a liaison between healthcare providers and clients, ensuring effective communication and coordination of care.
- Serve as a client advocate regarding all medical and psychiatric concerns, ensuring their needs are addressed promptly and appropriately.
- Conduct CIWA/COWS assessments and TB PPD administration and readings as required.
- Administer MAT medications injections and ensure accurate documentation of medication orders.
- Facilitate medication prior authorizations and assist with medication orders, refills, and client education.
- Perform vital sign measurements and record clients' health status, including height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.
- Evaluate and report any changes in clients' conditions, such as adverse reactions to medication or treatment, and take necessary action.
- Assist with self-administration of medication, document observations, and observe client medication regimens.
- Assess new admits for medical necessity and develop detox treatment plans based on physician's orders when required.
- Provide training to support staff and participate in treatment team meetings with ancillary staff members.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to assess client needs, plan and modify care, and implement interventions.
- Direct clients to emergency medical care when necessary and ensure accurate documentation of all client interactions and interventions.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the State of California. LPT's encouraged to apply as well.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification preferred prior to employment.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and demonstrate excellent communication skills.
- Compassionate and dedicated to providing quality care to clients struggling with addiction.
- Experience with psych/detox medications is a plus
- Experience in Behavioral Health settings preferred
