JOB SUMMARY:
PART TIME. Our shifts are 5 hours long. 8-1 in the morning and 4-9 in the evening. Required availability: 15-20 hours per week. A minimum of 3 shifts per week. At least two weekday morning shifts and one weekday evening shift. At least two Saturdays per month. Please make sure this works with your schedule before applying.
The Member Services and Sales Associate at a women only gym position will provide assistance to members and guests. The associate will handle inquiries about gym operations and policies, sell new memberships and membership renewals, oversee daily cash flow operations, and perform various administrative duties as directed by the gym management, as well as basic cleaning duties.
This is a perfect part-time opportunity for anyone looking to supplement another part-time job or anyone looking to work just for a few hours weekly. This would be great for college students or SAHM, for example.

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Generate Membership and Services Sales
- Monitor and follow up with new customer leads from different sources working to convert leads into members.
- Provide prospects with facility tours and information, sell memberships and renewals, schedule appointments.
- Maintain a database of customer leads.
- Promote and generate sales for the additional services such as personal training and sauna.
Provide customer service to all members, guests, and prospects
- Greet members and guests. At check-in, confirm that membership accounts are active and up to date.
- Answer phone and email promptly in a professional and courteous manner. Address inquirer's requests. Register all telephone and email inquiries in the contacts or members database. Monitor and handle voicemail messages.
- Respond promptly to member requests, inquiries and concerns.
- Resolve and/or document all member issues for mgmt. processing
Undertake administrative tasks
- Operate and maintain club and members management computer system.
- Process payments and paperwork for membership fees, retail and concession sales and other services.
- Balance cash drawer
- Maintain merchandise inventory
- Keep group fitness class schedule up to date
- Operate club’s updates alert system
- Maintain member data spreadsheets
- Help maintain the club’s social media and general web presence.
- Utilize multiple Google Calendars to keep track of member and guests appointments and follow up tasks.
Maintain the highest standards for the facility and equipment
- Report any identified maintenance or safety concerns. Log and follow-up.
- Perform basic clean-up, consistent with maintaining a favorable presentation of the facility.
- Provide security and control to the front door and retail area of the facility.
- Follow opening and closing procedures.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Functional computer skills, particularly strong MS Office skills: Excel and Word.
- Typing speed, 30WPM or more.
- Google Calendar and Gmail
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proven customer service/ sales orientation skills
- Understanding of basic cash processing procedures.
- Social media - FB, Instagram - proficiency is preferable.

- Possession of a professional demeanor and ability to defuse emotional situations in a calm manner.

- Must be able to work a flexible work schedule to include mornings, evenings and some Saturdays.
