Job Description
Compensation: $20-$30hr, DOE
Hours: Typically around 40hrs/week. 8am to 5:00pm. Some variation is to be expected.

General Experience
Minimum of 5 years of professional home repair experience is required.
REQUIRED Specific Experience
Professional experience installing/repairing carpet, installing/refinishing hardwoods and installing tile - to includes showers, shower surrounds, floors, etc is preferred but not required. Must also be able to perform repairs such as gate and fence repair, siding and trim repair, and other general home repairs.
Requirements
- Tech to provide his/her own tools. My Treasure Valley Handyman does provide some larger/more specialized tools.
- All technicians are required to take a work vehicle home - either a truck and trailer or a work van (after probationary period.)
- All employment is contingent on passing a background check and driving record check. Background checks are extensive and looked over carefully.
General description and responsibilities
My Treasure Valley Handyman is looking to hire a full-time field tech with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in home repair. Applicant should have some level of experience, either professionally or personally, in general home repair including, but not limited to, interior and exterior painting, drywall repair, texture repair, installing interior and exterior doors, siding replacement, fence repair and installation, light fixture and ceiling fan replacement, minor plumbing fixture replacement (faucets, disposals, etc), and other general handyman work. Candidates should have an understanding of how to use power tools such as chop saws, table saws, reciprocating saws, oscillating saws, nail guns, ladders, wrenches, etc.
Our ideal candidate will also have excellent customer service skills and feel comfortable interacting with customers face to face. He/she also must be comfortable working outside in the summers and winters. While we do not typically work in bad weather, it is normal to work in the heat of the summers and outside on cold days in the winter.
