Job Description:

Responsibilities:

· Compile, transform, and analyze geospatial data

· Creates and maintains geographical information system (GIS) layers

· Design, develop, and maintain databases with GIS data

· Conduct geocoding of address data

· Creates reports, maps, applications, and visualizations to showcase spatial data

· Develop data pipelines using scripting languages (e.g., SQL, Python, etc)

· Follows quality assurance and control processes, and performs routine data management tasks

· Troubleshoots and supports GIS-related hardware and software, including peripheral equipment such as printer/plotters

· Provide training and/or technical support to staff

Minimum Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in geography, planning, or related field

· Five years of experience using ESRI desktop and its related extensions and relational databases

· Proficient use of Microsoft Office tools

· Proficient in SQL language

· GIS certification (e.g., GISP)

· Two years’ experience working in a public health setting
