Overview
The Security Architect will oversee and ensure the security and compliance of the Illinois Integrated Eligibility System (IES). This role will focus on designing, implementing, and maintaining a secure architecture that adheres to all State and federal standards. As part of this long-term project, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to safeguard the system against potential threats while meeting regulatory and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement security frameworks tailored to the IES environment.
- Ensure alignment with federal and State regulations, including HIPAA, FISMA, and NIST standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and recommend strategies to mitigate security vulnerabilities.
- Oversee the security architecture for all IES components, including cloud and on-premises environments.
- Implement and enforce best practices for application security, such as secure coding, access controls, and encryption.
- Monitor for compliance with data privacy and protection laws.
- Apply required State and federal standards across the solution to ensure regulatory compliance.
