This is a full-time hybrid role for a Senior Architect, Payments at MyBambu. The Senior Architect will be responsible for architectural design, software development, integration, and project management. The role is based in West Palm Beach, FL, with some remote work allowed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect Payment Systems: Design end-to-end architecture for payment platforms, including transaction processing, gateways, fraud detection, and settlement systems.
- Scalability & Performance: Ensure systems are highly scalable, low-latency, and capable of handling high transaction volumes.
- Cloud Migration: Lead the migration of legacy payment systems to cloud-native environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Integration: Oversee integration with third-party payment providers and APIs for seamless interoperability.
- Compliance & Security: Ensure adherence to PCI DSS standards and other regulatory requirements for secure payment data handling.
- Collaboration: Partner with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals.
- Innovation: Identify opportunities to modernize payments infrastructure and solve complex technical challenges.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 10 years of software development and architecture experience, with 5 years specializing in payments systems.
- Expertise in designing high-volume transaction systems with low latency and high availability.
- Proficiency in modern technologies such as Java, Spring Boot, microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, event-driven design, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Strong knowledge of payment industry standards (e.g., PCI DSS), messaging protocols (e.g., ISO 8583/20022), and emerging trends in digital payments.
- Proven ability to lead large-scale architectural initiatives across distributed teams.
- Excellent communication skills to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bilingual Proficiency (English / Spanish)
