Your Opportunity :

This is a full-time, in-person position reporting to the President of Operations. As a Tech Lead, you will be responsible for driving the technical strategy, architecture, and development of MyBambu's platform. This role will lead a team of engineers in building secure, scalable, and innovative financial solutions.

Job Responsibilities :

Provide architectural guidance and technical leadership to engineering teams, ensuring best practices in software development.
Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance financial systems, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
Lead and mentor a team of developers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Work closely with Product, Compliance, and DevOps teams to align technology with business goals.
Maintain high coding standards, conduct thorough code reviews, and implement automated testing strategies.
Ensure all development aligns with security best practices and regulatory requirements such as PCI DSS, GDPR, and PSD2.
Promote Agile methodologies and CI / CD pipelines for fast and reliable product releases.
Identify and address system performance bottlenecks, optimizing code and infrastructure for efficiency.
Stay up to date with emerging technologies, fintech trends, and best practices in cloud-native architecture.

Skill and Abilities :

Strong expertise in backend development (Node.js, Python, Java, or Go) and frontend frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue.js).

Deep understanding of cloud computing (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and microservices architecture.

Experience with RESTful & GraphQL APIs, WebSockets, and event-driven architecture.

Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make data-driven decisions.

Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and develop engineering teams.

Job Requirements :

Bilingual in Spanish and English, preferred.

7 years in software engineering, with 3 years in a leadership or Tech Lead role, preferably in fintech or neobanking.

Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field, is preferred.

Strong understanding of digital payments, banking APIs, blockchain, and fraud prevention technologies.

Familiarity with financial compliance requirements such as PCI DSS, KYC, AML, and Open Banking standards.

Hands-on experience with CI / CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) and logging / monitoring tools (ELK, Prometheus, Grafana).

Physical Requirements :

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
