Job Responsibilities
Answering phones efficiently and with the proper etiquette, directing the calls to the appropriate person/department. Updating patient information in computer when necessary Scheduling new patients, collecting insurance information, filling out proper forms to set up new patient files and preparing file labels Verifying medical insurance for all appointments (at least one day prior to service) and walk-in patients Maintaining inventory of new patient forms and office supplies required for front desk activities Monitoring patient wait time and ensuring physicians' on-time schedule. Prioritizing appointment versus walk-in. Assisting in pulling charts for walk-in patients. Providing patients the proper documentation for quick referrals using preferred network

Essential Responsibilities
- Demonstrates both autonomy and proficiency in performance of comprehensive health assessments for the Medicare Advantage patient population.
- Collaborates with member’s primary care physician to create a care plan focused on prevention, early detection and timely intervention.
- Observes the scope of practice in the state in which he or she is licensed and working in.
- Communicates with physicians and family members during transitions of care.
- Effectively communicates with all members of the care team and facilitates a medically appropriate and effective plan of care to avoid unnecessary duplication of testing, and fragmentation of care.
- Certification through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Certification through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) program focusing on adult medicine
- Currently licensed as an Acute, Adult/Gerontological or Family Nurse Practitioner in the state of practice or the ability to obtain a license prior to employment
- Holds or is eligible for DEA licensure and CDS licensure (if required in the state of practice)
- Up-to-date CPR Certification and Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
- Ability to use Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system – specifically ECW
- Knowledge of Medical Advantage, HEIDS, MRA and ICD-10 Coding
- Comfortable managing a primarily Medicare-aged patient population
- Demonstrated ability to problem-solve complex and multifaceted situations.
