This role combines expertise in employee relations, performance management, HR policy development and implementation, and leadership collaboration to support organizational success, particularly in a value-based healthcare environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
- Completes Forms I-9, verifies supporting documentation and maintains I-9 files.
- Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
- Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
- Makes photocopies; processes mail, scans and emails documents; and performs other clerical functions for the HR department.
- May assist with payroll functions including processing and answering employee questions.
- Acts as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors, which may include health, disability, and retirement plan providers.
- Conducts or assists with new hire orientation alongside Operation’s training & development leaders.
- Works alongside Talent Management and Operations leadership to implement continued training courses for growth & development, as well as corrective performance trainings.
- Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment and annual performance reviews.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or related field required.
- 4-6 years in HR roles focused on employee relations, performance management, compliance, recruiting, and onboarding, ideally in healthcare
- Prior related office experience preferred.
- Background in the healthcare industry with experience in managed care platforms is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications or related software (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.
- Ability to organize priority of work throughout the day and be flexible in a results-driven, fast-paced, growth oriented, emerging company.
- Ability to self-direct and work independently while consistently showing self-initiative.
